Maintenance Vault Pro publishes general information about industrial maintenance, troubleshooting and operations. Please read the following before relying on anything you find here.

Safety comes first — and it comes from your facility

Industrial equipment can cause serious injury or death. Nothing on this site replaces your facility's energy-control (lockout/tagout) policy, electrical safe-work practices, machine-specific procedures, manufacturer documentation, or the instructions of a qualified person on site. Where our guidance and your facility's procedures differ, your facility's procedures govern — always.

General information, not professional advice

The content here is published for general educational purposes. It is not engineering advice, safety consulting, legal advice, or a substitute for training, certification, or the judgment of a qualified technician or engineer familiar with your specific equipment and site conditions. We are not acting as your engineer, consultant, or advisor, and no professional relationship is created by your use of this site.

Every site is different

Equipment, loads, environments, duty cycles, regulations and risk tolerances vary enormously between facilities. Practices that are appropriate in one operation may be inappropriate or unsafe in another. Where this site describes what a particular operation does in practice, it is offered as one operation's experience — not as a universal recommendation. You are responsible for deciding what applies to your equipment and your site.

No manufacturer affiliation

Maintenance Vault Pro is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or acting on behalf of any equipment manufacturer, supplier, or service provider. We do not reproduce manufacturer inspection or service procedures; failure modes are described generically. Any product names that may appear are the property of their respective owners and are used descriptively only. Your equipment manufacturer's documentation is always the authority for that equipment.

Accuracy and completeness

We work to keep the information here accurate and useful, and we correct things when we learn they're wrong. Even so, content is provided "as is" and without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Figures, intervals and thresholds mentioned are general industry rules of thumb and may not suit your application. Content may change or be removed at any time without notice.

Interactive tools are illustrations

The diagnostic tools, calculators, simulators and checklists on this site are simplified illustrations and estimates, not measurement instruments or engineering calculations. They are not to scale, they do not model your specific equipment, and their output should never be used as the sole basis for a maintenance, safety, or financial decision.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Maintenance Vault Pro and its owner accept no liability for any loss, injury, damage, downtime, equipment damage, or cost arising directly or indirectly from the use of, or reliance on, anything published on this site. Your use of this site and its content is entirely at your own risk.

External links

Where we link to outside sources, we do so for reference only. We do not control that content and are not responsible for it, and a link is not an endorsement.

Ownership

All original content on this site — text, diagrams, illustrations, interactive tools and code — is © 2026 Maintenance Vault Pro and may not be reproduced or republished without permission. You are welcome to link to it, and to use the checklists internally at your own facility.
